About movie
The romantic-drama, set in Bihar and Madurai, follows Sara Ali Rinku , a young girl who works in a railway station kiosk, whose story is told across two timelines, one where she marries Vishnu , and the other where she falls for the extravagant circus ringmaster Anil.
Vishnu (Dhanush) is forced to marry a fierce girl named Rinku (Sara Ali Khan ), who dreams of a swayamvar. The two get married and plan to dissolve the marriage soon after.

It was originally regular for worldwide release on 14february 2021 in theatres, coinciding with St Valentine’s Day. However, it absolutely was indefinitely pushed because of post-production delays because of COVID-19 pandemic in Bharat. A release was announced for 6 August 2021, however the film wasn’t reoleased. In August 2021,it was revealed that film is looking fora direct to digital premiere. On Nov 23, 2021, Disney+ Hotstar announced that the film can premiere on the platform on Dec 24, 2021 coinciding Christmas holidays alongside the Tamil version titled Galatta Kalyanam which will be free simultaneously along withthe original version.
